Excited

You’ve created something or have a great idea for a product. You’re so excited because you’ve got something that people are going to really want. It’s going to make life’s better for people and you’re going to be the one responsible for that.

You’re so excited that you decide to tell your family or a friend about your invention.

Downer

They’re not as excited as you, they don’t get “it”. They find holes in your idea and mock you for your “silliness”.

All of a sudden you start to question yourself and your idea. Your enthusiasm which was going to carry you through your project is gone and you decide to let your once great idea go.

Mistake

You’ve given up over one persons opinion. Just because they don’t need what you’re going to offer doesn’t mean others won’t.

You need to do PROPER market research that not only looks to see if there’s a gap in the market but also who your potential buyers are. You need to find out what your target market thinks and if they would buy your product.

Be Warned

Be warned though, ignoring all criticism is a mistake. Find out why you SHOULD listen to negative comments.
