Cube World Tony Ellis Award Bottle Buddy

To introduce myself, I have been a professional toy inventor now for around 8 years, and have so far licensed 43 toy, game and gift products. Some have become global brands like ‘Cube World’ (manufactured by Radica/Mattel) and which is currently on sale all over the World.

Where and how did it all start?

Based in the UK, my background has always been in electronic engineering, having worked previously in avionics, security, car and truck alarms, biometrics and early GPS systems.

My hobby was robotics and, in the late 1990’s, I started developing a sophisticated robot that could almost think for itself. The robot became to be almost like a family pet – it had learning algorithms and was allowed free roaming around the house.

In early 2000, when a visitor saw it one day, he was insistent that I had to show it to a toy company he knew. I made the phone call and (unbelievably for this particular industry) got an appointment the very next day with a major UK toy company.

The website for this product is - Tools Away

Today’s invention gets extra credit with me because it solves a problem I’m all to aware of.

Problem

If your garage or shed is anything like mine you’ll have loads of junk in there that you don’t really need and only one or two items that you do.

A perfect example of this is with my garden tools. Because I don’t have any sort of system going on they’re all over the place. So much so that when I come to need one I have to spend 5-10 minutes looking and on more then one occasion I’ve had to buy a new tool simply because I couldn’t find the old one, which I know is in the shed somewhere.

Not only that but having my tools all over the shed makes it look unsightly and gives me less space. » Read the rest of the entry..

I Love It When A Plan Comes Together!zongo69

I thought I’d let you in on some news regarding this site.

For the last week I’ve been looking for people within and around the inventing industry to become writers for this site, to offer a different perspective from my own on the inventing industry.

Patent lawyers, manufacturing experts, investors, experienced product developers, successful inventors etc

People who have excelled at what they do and will be able to share with you their advice, vast expertise and stories of how they got to where they are today.

I’m pleased to report that as of today we have our first three new writers. They’re all currently writing their first few articles for us and within the next couple of days we will begin to feature their articles on this site.

I’m not going to reveal who they are just yet, you’ll have to come back next week to find out!

Who Would You Choose?phauly

If you get struck down with a potentially fatal disease, which doctor do you want to treat you, the doctor who has just finished med school, or the doctor who is considered to be the foremost expert in your disease.

Me personally, I’m going to go with the expert, that’s the doctor who is going to know about the latest treatments,  those with the best success rate and the treatment with the least amount of side affects.

They’ll be able to take all factors into consideration. » Read the rest of the entry..

Yesterday I explained why you shouldn’t listen to negative comments, today find out why you SHOULD.

Negative Comments Can Be Good For Us

Yes it’s true.

While we don’t want to let one or two peoples opinion stop us from creating a product that is new or unique, we do need to understand what peoples objections are and why they have them.

It’s called feedback. And ALL feedback we receive is vital even if it’s negative or upsetting to us. » Read the rest of the entry..

I’m not going to review an invention myself today. Not because I’m being lazy but because I’ve got something better for you.

It’s a 6 minutes long video and I plead with you to watch it. Stick with it I promise you it will be worth it.

Not only will you learn about a great invention that is going to save millions of life’s but of an inventor who is the modern day equivalent of Thomas Edison. » Read the rest of the entry..

Excited

You’ve created something or have a great idea for a product. You’re so excited because you’ve got something that people are going to really want. It’s going to make life’s better for people and you’re going to be the one responsible for that.

You’re so excited that you decide to tell your family or a friend about your invention.

Downer

They’re not as excited as you, they don’t get “it”. They find holes in your idea and mock you for your “silliness”. » Read the rest of the entry..
