Inventing Is Addictive. FACT!
Inventing should come with a warning sign! It’s addictive and no one ever tells you that.
Talk to an inventor about inventing and they’ll inspire you with their passion.
Ask an inventor about their product and you’ll struggle to shut them up!!
Success
Once you’ve created and sold your first product, you’ll want to do it again with another product.
It doesn’t matter if you become a millionaire and never need to work again, you will always be looking to develop another idea.
Because you want to feel those highs again.
Highs that came with each success you had along the way with your last invention.
The kind of highs that make you feel ALIVE.
You’ve created something that makes peoples life’s easier or maybe just that little bit more fun.
You’ve done something that makes you more then just another face in the crowd.
Achievement
Everybody in the world has ideas.
But you’re not everybody because you’ve gone that one step further, you’ve actually done something about your idea.
You’ve succeeded where so many others are too lazy or too scared.
Not only has your invention passed the idea stage its gone through the prototype, development and sales phase. Despite the hurdles you faced along the way.
You’ve now got something that people NEED and are spending their money on, money they could spend on something else but they decide they want to spend it on your creation.
And Then Comes The Addiction
You’ve released your baby into the world.
Along the way your little creation ran into problems, but you were there in your unwavering belief and love to pull it through the hard times.
You nurtured your idea and now its graduated into its own entity. It’s out there in the big bad world and it’s holding its own.
It no longer needs you.
You’re so proud and for a little while the pride will take over you.
But as time goes on you start to notice a part of you is missing.
You might try and distract the void you now have inside you but unfortunately it gets bigger everyday. It now comes with an annoying little voice that says “FEED ME”.
You begin to realise that the only way to fill the void is to give it what it needs.
And so you go back to inventing another product, you create your idea, you develop it and then sell it. Again you feel the pride, but wait you hear that voice again “FEED ME”.
And now you’re in a cycle.
Welcome to the club.
My friend you are an inventor.
It’s who you are.
It’s what you do.
Don’t fret you’re part of an elite club of people who are smart, creative and brave and that constantly strive to make the world a better place.
Stand up and say it with me. “My name is ______ and I’m an addict.
