Maybe not an invention but certainly innovation. This company offers to blow up your digital pictures and then print them on wallpaper. According to them it doesn’t have any special requirements to put up. Here’s some examples,

Designed to help millions in the developing world this yo-yo like device generates power by it’s pull cord.

Apparently it can generate enough power to generate 20 minute talk time on a mobile with just one minute of pulling.

Could be a perfect home power generator.
