Who Would You Choose?phauly

If you get struck down with a potentially fatal disease, which doctor do you want to treat you, the doctor who has just finished med school, or the doctor who is considered to be the foremost expert in your disease.

Me personally, I’m going to go with the expert, that’s the doctor who is going to know about the latest treatments,  those with the best success rate and the treatment with the least amount of side affects.

They’ll be able to take all factors into consideration.

Why You Need To Be An Expert In Your Own Product

Now apply the same theory to inventing. Which invention do you think is going to have the best chance of succeeding. The invention that has only taken the product into consideration or the invention that has thought about the product, the market, the pricing, the manufacturing, the packaging, the competition etc.

Before an investor or company buys a product from an inventor, they’re going to have many questions that need to be answered. If you’re an expert in your own product you have a chance to shine.

If you can show them you’ve taken all factors into consideration, not only will they like you more they’ll have more confidence in your product. After all you clearly have the knowledge so you must have applied that to your product.

You can help remove any fears a buyer might have and prove to them that your product can and will be a major success for them.

That’s why people who have already had their first successful invention find it easier to sell their second, they can show that they understand what it takes to bring an invention to market.
